The Association for the Recovery of Ancient Calligraphy "Alcuino", a not-for-profit cultural association, is born to fill a void that we can observe nowadays: to be able to offer every passionate of ancient manuscripts the possibility of having in their hands, and be able to recreate a text beautifully handwritten on that velvety material that is parchment, carefully illuminated and miniated. This is an emotion that can never be reached through a facsimile.
